Located on Hatzi Michali Yialeni Street, the museum is home to artefacts that span Lemnos&#8217; long history, dating back to prehistoric times through to the Romans. However, it is important to note that it is <strong>currently closed for restorations<\/strong>, so please<a href=\"https:\/\/archaeologicalmuseums.gr\/en\/museum\/5df34af3deca5e2d79e8c12d\/archaeological-museum-of-limnos\"> check its website<\/a> before planning your visit.<\/p><p>Another important historical site to visit when visiting the island of Lemnos is The Poliochni archaeological site. It is often considered Europe&#8217;s oldest city and provides a fascinating understanding of the civilizations of the Bronze Age. The entry fee into the museum is only 2\u20ac and is open Wednesday through Monday from 8 am until 3 pm (closed on Tuesdays). There are plenty of other monuments, churches and chapels to see on the island, but another stand-out location is Kavirio, an ancient sanctuary located in the Chloy region on the northern side of the island.
